"G20 VIII Interfaith Forum" Is Held In Bologna, Italy

Ravan Hasanov, Executive Director of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center, is participating in the "G20 VIII Interfaith Forum" held in Bologna within the framework of Italy's G20 presidency. At the forum, our country is represented by Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, the head of the delegation of the leaders of the religious confessions of Azerbaijan and Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims’ Board, and Anar Karimov, the Minister of Culture. Heads of state and government of different countries, religious leaders, ministers of foreign affairs, education, culture and religious affairs, heads of international organizations, prominent scientists and public figures participate in the forum held under the motto "Peace between cultures, understanding between religions". At the opening ceremony of the forum, the address of the President of the Republic of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, addressed to the participants of the forum was read. The forum continued its work with panel sessions. Topics such as COVID-19 and climate change, providing necessary support to refugees, internally displaced persons and migrants, protecting freedom of religion and belief, women and children's rights, combating racism, terrorism, human trafficking, hate speech, problems that pose a global threat to the world and many more will be discussed at the Interfaith Forum, which will last three days. Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade and Minister of Culture Anar Karimov are scheduled to deliver a speech.
