An event related to the 77th anniversary of the exile of the Akhiska Turks from their historical homeland was held at Multiculturalism Center

On November 12, Baku International Multiculturalism Center held an event related to the Victory Day and the 77th anniversary of the exile of Akhiska Turks from their historical homeland.

The event began with a minute of silence and the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The memory of the brave sons of the homeland who sacrificed their lives in the fight for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country was commemorated during the event, the President, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and our heroic soldiers were thanked for giving us this Victory.

 

Ismayil Rahimov, chairman of the Public Union of Akhiska Turks living in Azerbaijan, and Ravan Hasanov, executive director of Baku International Multiculturalism Center, spoke at the event.

Then a video about the exile of Akhiska Turks from their historical homeland was shown.

Saymaz Aruz, adviser to the chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, Ahmed Niyazov, head of the Department of Islamic Sciences of the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology, Fuad Abbasov, the chairman of "MISRA" Information exchange and initiatives public union, Yuriy Osadchenko, the chairman of the Azerbaijan-Ukraine Congress, and Imran Rzayev, the chairman of the Samur Lezgi community, took part in the event.
