Azerbaijani-Ukrainian Congress celebrated Victory Day in Multıculturalism Center

An online conference was held in Baku International Multiculturalism Center organized jointly by the Azerbaijani-Ukrainian Congress and with the participation of the United Congress of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine. The event dedicated to the Victory Day - November 8, took place in the form of a teleconference with Ukraine. Ravan Hasanov, executive director of Baku International Multiculturalism Center, Yuri Osadchenko chairman of the Public Union of the Azerbaijani-Ukrainian Congress, veteran of the Karabakh War, Aytan Gahraman, advisor of BIMC, Lidiya Shestak-Aliyeva, the Azerbaijani-Ukrainian Congress, Yasamal district representative, disabled, veterans and families of the Karabakh War martyrs, Colonel Mehdi Mehdiyev, the chairman of the Public Union, Colonel Ariz Mammadov, Mirhasan Hasanov, chairman of the "Azerbaijan Chernobyl Disabled Union", Robert Mobili, chairman of the Alban-Udi Christian Community, Ismayil Rahimov, chairman of the Akhiska Turks "Vatan" Public Union, as well as representatives of national communities in our country participated at the conference. After the participants of the conference were greeted by Yuriy Osadchenko, the chairman of the Azerbaijani-Ukrainian Congress Public Union, the dear memory of the martyrs of the First and Second Karabakh War was commemorated with a minute of silence. Later, the national anthems of both countries were played and a short video material about the activities of the Congress was shown. Ravan Hasanov, executive director of Multiculturalism Center, spoke about the essence and importance of the Victory Day. On behalf of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Ukraine, Khayyam Haqigatoglu, chief of staff of the United Congress of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine, spoke through the teleconference and introduced the participants of the conference from Ukraine. The conference speakers shared their thoughts on the rightful war for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan - the Patriotic War, and conveyed their congratulations on the Victory Day.
